List of Coaching classes

Hi all!
Currently based outside Indian and having difficulties getting leave to attend coaching classes to pass DGCA exams (CPL General/Conversion). Just wanted to know if one can/has passed the exams without any coaching classes or help. Having taken couple of competitive exams (and passed! ;-) ) in India (non-aviation) sometime back, I know for a fact that professional coaching definitely gives a lot of tricks to pass them, which otherwise is quite difficult (not impossible though).

Would like to hear from you guys who have written the exams or are in the process and your opinion on Coaching vs. self-study.

I have just opened GSP and finding it handful!

Well u urself has said that u wont get leave to attend coaching classes.so that leaves u with only one option prepare urself or try to collect notes from these private instructors and study on your own.

I think u will be able to clear Met and air regulations on ur own but for Navigation it is better u get hold of some notes.

For ur referene i am posting the address and contact numbers of different private ground instrutors in India.I dont know how updated this list is but i believe most of the info is correct.

Cant really say.All of them are good since they are in the business of coaching students for DGCA exams.

If u know any guys who have attended the classes then u can xerox it from the otherwise best thing is to call up the above mentioned instructors and explain ur situation.

My personal recommendation would be Mr Aravind Bhatt in pune and Mr Mittal in Bom.Even the famous Delhi instructors(Mr Surinder ,Mr Duggal and Mr Seth) would be a safe bet.

Also i heard there is a V.K Sood in Delhi.He retired from DGCA recently and he used to set the question papers.Unfortunately i dont have his contact info.


If u have seen the DGCA pilot exam results then i would strongly recommend u attend these ground classes or atleast get hold of the notes.
