Hi,
was wondering today,why cirrus 22/ turbo have uneven leading edges??? I mean towards the tips its more extended than roots.

Hawker Hunter fighter plane overcame the problems of pitch up at high speeds by incorporating the sawtooth leading edge...(identified by you as the extended leading edge towards the end ;-)

During its career, the straight wing was replaced by the saw-tooth leading edge wings, which made the aircraft easier to control at high-speed turns and preventing the pitch up problem.

There was aileron pitch-up stall which was only cured by the addition of a sawtooth leading edge to the wing.

Maybe the designers used the sawtooth design for this purpose only since it's specs say flying at reasonably high altitudes.

sorry, more appropriate it's called "Leading edge Cuff" for Cirrus20/22/turbo.

Its called "saw-tooth or dog-tooth".
Reason for having it??
Its there to delay separation(of air).Flow normally separate at the tips first,which causes large changes in "Pitching Moment".
This can be reduced by introducing a "notch or saw-tooth(dog-tooth) in the leading edge(yes ofcourse towards the tips so that flow separation is "DELAYED"
